I do agree with some of the others above. Your stress can have a huge impact on them. Not sure how to have you feel differently but I know my kids and animals totally feed off of me and my attitude. Just keep trying, just like you have said many of us thinking out birds would never switch to your seasonal feeding . Eventually, they start to accept, not always like, but hopefully be more quiet. I can not imagine how loud 3 macaws screaming would be

Interesting, but good so maybe that could be tried then. I wonder too if Jinx were shown a video of Tusa displaying positive body language, if that might be beneficial? It just seems they definitely feed off one another's negative feelings for eachother so replacing that with positive language, even if it is "simulated" might help?🙏

He actually sometimes thinks some Catalina macaws are Tusa (because we have some freeflight students with macaws that look really similar to Tusa) and he gets so pissed until he's around them a while and realizes it isn't Tusa. I have noticed the same thing when I carry Ava by Comet/Tusa that they might get super mad at first until they realize it's not Jinx. So I would think yes, he could recognize a photo or video of Tusa for sure.

Keeping with Brickelle's train of thought... if I remember correctly, Jinx and Tusa were doin' great when a third macaw wasn't in the mix. Can you try housing Jinx and Tusa with other birds in your garage (in separate aviaries of course) and take Comet into the quarantine room next to Ava?

You mentioned resources that have non-pet setups. Maybe their advice on how to deescalate isn't always relevant to a pet owner but their observations on similar situations may be. Also a specialist who studies wild macaws might have some insight.
This could be perfectly normal male macaw behavior. They were bickering before you brought Ava into the mix, but is it worse now? Could Jinx be defending his interest in her since they are not yet bonded? Ava is a free agent right now. Jinx does seem interested in her but as a captive bird who never saw another female like him, he's probably very confused by his feelings. Like young boys who use aggression to express their interest in a girl (pulling hair, teasing, etc). Meanwhile there are 2 other potential mates for Ava that Jinx may see as competition. I wonder if Jinx would calm down if he was more secure in his relationship with Ava. Of course them bonding would open up a whole new can of worms unless you want to join the blue throat breeding program.

I really feel for you guys, that's a tough situation. Would Jinx recognize a "life size" photo or video of Tusa? If so perhaps that could be a way to get him more used to Tusa's presence in a controlled way without having to worry about retaliation. I used a similar method to help one of my dogs get used to birds.

I agree with Brickelle that they might be triggered by your stress and the attention it gets when they have their spats

The situation with the birds screaming at each other might not last forever. Things change all the time. What if you were to separate Comet and Tusa so Jinx doesn't feel ganged up on? Or just work with Jinx and Tusa together in the house. Or fly them together. Bathe them together? Idk... all of my knowledge pretty much comes from you guys lol.
Is the screaming at each other being reinforced by someone running out there to stop it?
It's so hard when birds are that big and that loud. It's not just annoying background noise...it's like torturing the neighbors. I can understand your frustration.
