You have to remember, many many parrots (especially tiny ones like Berry) enjoy playing with toys like this, so naturally rolling the ball around is going to be very rewarding by itself. It is something that we want - it is a natural behavior that encourages exercise and play and can have therapeutic effects because it is “free play” (and might also be a bit overstimulating for some), we don’t want that to completely go extinct because it has benefit and reason. However, you want her to do something specific with this item, and in order to be clear you have to signify it clearly - I liked what Jamie did at about 4:10, where she took the ball and tapped it on the counter- that’s a very clear sign, what Dave does- is just offer the ball as the que and tap lightly his bowl as a vague reminder, this is not as clear. What do you think about this observation? is it accurate in any way?
