BTT - Body Language Series!

No worries, I thought maybe it was a series 🙂

Laura Morrissey

Hi Laura, I usually wrote in the description of the videos which species it covered but not always. Sorry I did not lay them out based on species for you!

One of the rescue birds was african grey. 2020 is the year it was filmed. Sorry I've forgotten the name of bird...

My 'tiels also try and preen me with that exact behavior. I keep a preening toy next to me. But I did love the remark of turning it into target training. I'm gonna do that also!

I also chuckled & loved" the foot has to go" !

Is there an African Grey body language video? Looking for insight with my 30 year old CAG we just inherited when my father in law passed away last month.

Laura Morrissey

Thanks for the response. The macaw was my girl and she’s a rescue with one wing. She is on seasonal feeding and BT pellet (took a few months but she’s been on it for probably 4 months). No cats and she’s seen two vets since I’ve rescued her. I am trying to increase her exercise by giving her opportunities to walk around supervised and climb when she wants to. I chuckled at “the foot has to go”.

That was my cockatiel, Stella! Thank you so much for your insight, your answers were extremely helpful! And don’t worry - I don’t normally let her do that, I only let her this time for the video! Sorry it went on so long 😂

Veronica Park

it did that on my phone but on the computer i can see it

Sharing food bowls, getting into fecal matter, exchanging saliva/bodily fluids

Try now?

BirdTricks

Hmmm, it says this “video does not exist “?

Christina

How does a bird get a bacterial infection from a cat? From direct contact? Saliva? Close proximity?
