A bittersweet post...

Watch the video for details!!

Hello Patrons, Kim here.

I have to say this post is bittersweet for me...

On one hand I am so excited for Delta to find her forever home to call her own, but on the other hand I am going to miss her so much! When I was presented with the opportunity to work with an IRN, I thought this would be an emotionally safe species to work with for me because I just knew that an IRN was not on the list of species I had a personal interest in owning. Oh man! I was not prepared for how Delta would melt my heart and make me question that entire thought process.

She is so incredibly sweet while also bold and independent! So much girl power here! I am so proud of how far she has come, and I have so much faith in her potential to keep growing in her training with just the right adoptive home! Anyone interested in adoption can email me at Kim@birdtricks.com.

There will be an extensive adoption process to include an application, email correspondence, video interview, and a trip to Phoenix, Arizona will be required to meet her and bring her home. Her adoption fee is $500.

What an incredible story! I have an Indian Ringneck that I’ve had to stay consistently handling and mentally challenging in order for him to be content and stay tame.. delta seems gorgeous and like she’d be an easy going IRN to join any family thanks to Kim! Great work!

Yeah, I'm in Delaware and was looking elsewhere for them knowing that. I'm still to this day 22 years later knowing but not knowing why.

Quakers are also illegal in jersey lol lucky me πŸ˜’

Oh interesting! I had heard of Quaker parrots being illegal in some states but had not heard this about IRN.

Delta is such a beauty and looks like an amazing bird all around. Great job with her, Kim! I'm always amazed by how many timid birds get labeled as mean and unhandleable. My first bird was an inherited cockatiel that had been labeled this way. It wasn't true. He was a gentle and sweet bird, just very shy with strangers. I'm always so tempted to raise my hand to adopt a project bird, but I have given myself a hard limit of one bird.

She is beautiful!!🀍🀍🀍
