Great additions! Thanks for adding your thoughts and experience. All video editing is now being outsourced. We are blessed enough to have met two new editors on our masterclass tour so Joy is now editing all BTK videos (a patron and attendee) and Lucas is doing our freeflight, masterclass and lovebird course edits (also a patron and masterclass tour attendee) so this way all the editing I would typically do (Patreon videos, project bird videos, etc.) can be edited by our editor Angelina who started the talking bird thing. It always made it feel lighter when she did that and so Joy is doing it for BTK videos as well. But yeah that's all Angelina!! We met her when we did our year of collabs and she was editing for her own channel. She has since stopped that and came on board with us. We are so grateful! Joy and Lucas made it possible to give more work to Angelina since they're covering so much for me now. It feels nice to be a trainer again, vs a video editor...

I loved this Q&A. The species that the first question that Dave is referencing is poicephalus parrots. They include meyers, senegals, jardines, and cape parrots just to name a few. I have a red bellied and from what I’ve gathered from research of the other types they all have same general traits. Great ability for speech. Zazu picked up a lot of words and small sentences. she doesn’t talk often but when she does she is really good at it. They are quieter and like to just hang out and be with you, but as Dave mentioned when it comes to training the motivation is always there. Their behavior when they are getting hormonal is very apparent so I can immediately start making necessary changes like even cmore sleep, less interaction with me ( I’m a trigger), and more foraging. Also Olivia and Zip were very distracting but in a cute way! I love how good they are being. Even though they really want those treats and no where they are they are choosing to stay (relatively) In their spot. Been meaning to tell you guys I love the added touch to Patreon and YouTube videos where you put birb thoughts. Are you still editing your own videos or do you have a editor now? Either way props to you. I like the cuteness factor it adds with also insight to their behavior.

Conditioning a bird is tough indoors. One thing I do is encourage my Hahn's to fly when he is wet from a bath. It isn't the wind, but I can tell from his breathing that it's strenuous. He also likes to carry toys around, whether flying or climbing. Some of his favorites weigh almost as much as he does. I should probably train that as a trick to condition him to having the additional load. It's not wind but seems it would add to his overall strength and stamina.

Thank you for answering my question but lol the question was what would be the first training thing you do. I watched your recovery video and it helped me recover Phoenix after being chased by a crow and I remember being in tears and saying “okay I’m helping Dave and Jamie recover their bird” and it helped me think more logically
