I know she’s not very confident yet with any of the macaws yet. I hope this helped her realize she is a fantastic trainer as Zip choose her to do her “first” recall to and I am excited to see these guys outside with Jinx and Ava on a flight trip.

Of course, Zoom took off and startled him somewhat, but there were a couple more instances after that mark where he seemed to stumble a bit. I was wondering if that might be connected to his not quite wanting to land in you. Capri is developing her training skills! It’s so great to see her learning to read their body language and be a bit brave to try! It’s fun watching her confidence and competence grow in relation to training! Yay for the breakthrough! How exciting!

I'm celebrating my Indian Ringneck who's super fearful because using the power pause and being in the bird room with the rest of the flock has helped him feel safe enough to now eat from the bowl in his cage when I'm in the room with my back turned. Celebrating every level of win is important. 🥰
