Watch Dave coach me with Zip!

Ah, my little mini macaw loves to work, too! I really like watching your "advanced" training -- when you get to a point where the bird seems to say, no, i'm done, but you push a little more, making tiny changes like moving slightly forward or back or side to side. Even though you are still asking Zip to push past "no way Jose! that's scary!", those minor adjustments were enough to get a successful flight. I also really appreciated that after Zip hit the light (or the bag? hard to tell for sure) and was kind of spooked, you didn't stop. You knew Zip was okay, and that the training momentum was important to continue rather than make the memory of the whole session about that one "oops". And when you stood out of sight and Zip had to call to you each time before she flew? A-DOOR-A-BULL!
