Does Jinx view me as his mate?

You all ask such great questions and this was one I wanted to answer in a full length video for everyone to hear the response to.

Do you have a bird you've over bonded to or views you as its mate? Sometimes it doesn't take as much effort as I've put in with Jinx for a bird to see us as their mate! Let me know your thoughts on this topic in the comments.

Thank you! We definitely recognize that with one another 🩷

As you see us do with blueberry, expose your little guy to everything! Take him everywhere! New people, places and things will help him be more confident and therefore translate to healthy socializing too. Teach lots of tricks other people can cue! 🩡

Oops...not quite finished. I love that you and Dave are different in how you train. Your training styles complement one another. It is a bonus for those of us who learn from you.

I too appreciate that you are vulnerable. I am so much like you in that I put my heart and soul into whatever/whoever I am investing my time. It can have negative effects, but I believe even more strongly that it is a strength. It has helped you to be successful in much of your training.

Jamie, this was amazing. Thank you for your honesty and transparency. It was neat to see the history of you and Jinx. I only started following you a year ago, so there are some missing pieces that got put together for me. I can certainly see how easy it would have been to develop that strong bond with Jinx and how, as humans, we do desire that close connection with other humans and our animals! Who can blame you? He is an amazing animal! I have another question now after hearing this talk. I have finally decided on a little friend, I'm going to pick up my little boy parrotlet tomorrow! In light of talking of bonding... I live with my young adult son, but he isn't around much so it will mainly be me at home with my little guy. I would like to make sure he's properly socialized because I want him to be okay with others as well as me. I am a teacher and plan to take him to school so he will be around children so that will be good. However, I'm not planning on staying in teaching and eventually he will mostly be with me at home alone. Do you have some ideas of how to make sure he stays properly socialized? At this point, I have no other flock members. I'd really like to just focus on training him and building our bond right now. Thank you so much for addressing this! I learn something new every time I watch a video of yours. I'm so excited to start on my own adventure with my little guy.
