The theme this month... COCKATOOS!

Answering the Morgan tier questions here for all of you, and there was definitely a theme this month!

Note: I am going to be opening up this video to multiple new tiers because we did not make any new progress this month on our cookbook edits and revamping due to our travel schedule so adding this little extra for the Cressi tier this month and consequentially the Bondi tier as well. Enjoy! For this type of content each month, upgrade to the Rocko or Morgan tiers!

So interesting! Definitely will apply that with my Goffin! Makes total senses!

I also love cockatoos. I've never had one, and I know from your videos that they're advanced- experience kind of birds. I hope to adopt an older one some day, because I know so many are abandoned and I'm sure a lot of people go for the young ones first. Plus, I haven't got 80 more years to live, lol.

Could a tiny bird (Rosey Bourke), utilize the "game" you shared?

I love cockatoos. If I ever do get a bird, it'll be a cockatoo. This video was fascinating. (Also I think I'm going to get that prop for my cats.)

I echo that replacement behaviors are huge! My conure had a screaming tendency in the mornings before breakfast and when I was on zoom meetings. Ignoring the behavior and trying not to reinforce the screaming was not enough because screaming is so reinforcing on its own. So I focused on teaching him how to say his name quietly and used this as our new contact call. Any time I would hear him say his name instead of screaming, I would respond. Now our mornings are more likely to be filled with quiet "jellybeans!" instead of screaming. (I also say this from a privileged position of not owning a cockatoo though lol) P.s. I love the fun variable reward idea!
