It was when she got to the bus station and somehow her phone glitched after that she started really seeing the ghosts. That horror show on tv was just a show and before that she only had a nightmare about ghosts, but wasn't seeing them before the phone accident. Another point I think it's the alcohol in perfume that worked on the ghosts...
