Do you like this design for my merch?
Added 2019-04-22 16:05:35 +0000 UTCThese are the initial designs I got back from one designer (check the attachments as well!). I decided to reach out to multiple designers and will be on a 1-2 week wait with most of them to get any sort of designs back.
I want to feel in love with the designs, and equally feel like the important messages are being spread thoughtfully. I don't feel that yet, honestly...
Dave's thought on Comet's concept is that it should be more cartoony and goofy with maybe his eyes being exaggerated largely about staring at his feet.
I'm personally feeling a little stuck with not falling straight in love with all the designs. I did try to push for a male and female version so the line doesn't lend itself to being too girly...
Since you guys are helping me create this merch line, I would really value your input. Especially if you know of a designer whom you think could do a good job representing this brand. I've even considered having an art contest!
So my questions to you guys...
- Do you like any of these designs? If so, which ones? If not, why not?
- Do you have a designer in mind that you might recommend?
- What type of merch are you most interested in? (totes, clothing, mugs, artwork, etc.)
I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys and having it help me find a sense of direction with this.

So I will definitely keep searching and trying different designers and styles. Thank you for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback!

2019-04-23 14:43:57 +0000 UTCOk, a couple of honest thoughts... I don't ABSOLUTELY LOVE any of them. The one I do like the best is the first pink one, but I think the bird needs to be bigger and more detailed! The ones with bookmatched birds and foliage, to me the foliage overpowers the bird and writing and it looks too fussy. And the geometric ones -to me- look a bit lifeless. You want vibrant, freedom, fun! I would wear any of these but I honestly think you haven't found the right match yet. All the best!

2019-04-22 20:49:11 +0000 UTCI LOVE the main pic. The geometric design is really appealing, it’s classy enough for daily wear, the text is the right combination of in-joke and inspirational. I think the first design has a lot of class and heart. Same for the ones with the mirrored amazon and mirrored Comet — aesthetically pleasing, interesting, inspiring. I find the last two designs (with the B/W background) to be the least interesting / appealing out of the bunch. I don’t like that Comet’s gorgeous long tail is so obviously cut out of the images, and I just find the combination of a monochromatic background and a really busy foreground to be a lackluster choice. I hear what Dave is saying with something cartoony, but.... I would not wear something that was too cartoony/goofy. It would make me feel kinda childish and the message would be lost IMO. I think an art contest is a very cool idea, and if nothing else it would get some creative juices flowing for y’all in terms of what resonates. I’m most looking forward to merch that spreads your message — shirts, totes — but I love a good mug, too.

2019-04-22 17:45:50 +0000 UTCHonestly I don't look at this and think Comet. I don't want to sound rude but just my opinion. I think a goofy cartoon of Comet is a really cute idea!! I think selling training pouches is a great idea! You well find that artist that clicks with you.
