An Update on Touché the Indian Ringneck
Added 2019-04-23 21:38:38 +0000 UTCHi everyone! I thought you'd all enjoy an update on Touché's grow out so far. I have the rescue working towards a better diet for both Lefty and Touché while they have them so that my transition can hopefully be a little easier and smoother. Diet is the first thing I work on, and I realize I don't usually go into it much but will likely start doing so to bring more awareness of the importance of a healthy diet.
You guys suggested a sponsorship bird tier for Touché and so...
I'm 14 sponsors away from my goal to be able to take on Touché at the same time as Lefty. I hadn't accounted for meals/food expenses or hotel during travel in my initial project bird expenses because I figured I could handle those, but with two project birds it eliminates me being able to do consultations for those 3 months which is my primary source of income... eek! So that's pretty scary for me! My brain just can't handle two project birds (which will be a first for me anyhow!) + normal life + my own birds + all my clients' birds... wowza, that is not gonna happen!
So thank you to those of you making it possible for me to take on both these birds at all. I really appreciate it and am so excited to get started that I can't hardly wait! I really hope I can pick up BOTH birds on May 19.

Hey just a thought Jamie - maybe don't limit that top tier to just 20 patrons - if having a 2nd bird means that you won't have any time to do consulting and no income during that time, the extra help might be needed!? Just a thought. I totally get that its not just about the money though...
