You can definitely request help indoor flight training via consults, and Dave offers an indoor flight training package as well sometimes to people who inquire.

BirdTricks

We want to explore having an indoor flight training course but there are so many intricacies about flight training that it really needs a personalization to it. We've thought about offering a course that is maybe 6-8 weeks each year that people enroll in and take based on flight training but we have not ironed out the details or timeline of it yet.

BirdTricks

We would love to!

BirdTricks

I wish you still had the Total Transformation series. I'm failing so badly at recall training my Goffin. Is the way to get help with indoor flight through only consultations, or was it moved into another package?

Catrin Griffiths

You guys ever coming to Sweden fora 1vs1 consulting?

William Lundin

๐Ÿ˜‚ so many stories like this of mine!

BirdTricks

When messy Cressi got out and you called your non-bird owning friend to help because Dave was out of town. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜

Marina Kemp

You can be having it out for him already to explore but itโ€™s not necessary until he begins to wean.

BirdTricks

Off topic but I have a baby ringneck bird and heโ€™s 6 weeks. How and when should I introduce him to water?

Christina

Thanks so much for your interest! I'm located in Hobart, Tasmania (Australia). And my bird is your favourite type - a white cockatoo! Specifically a Little Corella (bare-eyed cockatoo). Anyway, no urgency with figuring this part out. I know your schedules are pretty crazy at the moment :)

Cindy Lewis-Bryan

Where abouts are you located and what type of bird do you have? We would start with an initial consultation to see where you're at in this moment first. And at MINIMUM we would chat once a week to keep you on track via Skype. But I'll need more details before I can fully answer how it would work!

BirdTricks

I mean, I do too which is why I bought it... just didn't picture it in a BTT video hahaha!

BirdTricks

If we are stationed overseas and wanted to learn how to free flight, how would that work with you guys, realising that each training session is so customised depending on us the human owner and could potentially take a decent length of time?

Cindy Lewis-Bryan

Ah I see. I guess I'll wait until there is a workshop in Houston :)

Jennifer Perez

Dave - I love the mug!

Katie Taylor

Thank you, so much, i will give this a try.

Rigo Quest

Hey Jennifer, I had mentioned the idea of adding FFPF to the toucan tier but had decided against it as it messed with our consult package too much. Toucans+ will receive future digital products for free, but it won't include the FFPF downloads. They're available as a bundle at www.familyfriendlyparrot.com.

BirdTricks

It would be better to take them into a smaller area to work on flight, and one at a time.

BirdTricks

I don't think I feel comfortable giving a checklist, because even if those things were checked, there may be some other things that are off making it "not ready". Its really a moment that is determined by seeing person and bird interact and train and Dave and I tend to have moments of "That was it. They're ready." it's like this point of "its gotten as good as it can get in this setting, the only way to improve is to now go outside." if that makes sense.

BirdTricks

Hi, unrelated to this video post, but for toucans+, how do we receove the ffp video?

Jennifer Perez

Quick question, so i have a clutch of love birds 4 to be exact. They are now 7 weeks old. So when i open the cage door i ask them to step up and they all do so. My problem is once my hand comes out of the cage with them they fly all around the house... its a struggle to get them back in. They are not fully weaned, but they do have flight feathers. Should i take them to get clipped, which I donโ€™t want to do. Please all advice is greatly appreciated. I feel they are excited because they learned they can now fly.

Rigo Quest

Of all the videos this is definitely the one I was waiting for. How do you know that your bird is ready. I understand everybird and person is different so what would be the non negotiable checklist if you could say that your bird is ready to go outdoors

Martina Kreznovic

Being more species specific I would say a sun conure.

BirdTricks

What's the smallest sized bird you'd recommend for outdoor free flying?

Ellie Keely
