What's New?! Here's what I'm working on!!

An update for my toucans+ on what's going on over here at BirdTricks... we have lots of new things coming which we are so excited about! 

First off, I joined Cameo. What is it? It's basically custom videos to you that include whichever flock members you're interested in seeing featured! I signed up while we were still touring on board Disney Cruise Line when we didn't have any birds around us but now we do so we are excited to get going on this new platform! 

What's going on with our Hormones course? It's about a day away from being finished but Dave just has not been able to dedicate a full day to editing it with all of our travels and consults lately. Fingers crossed he will find some time on his plane ride to Miami at the end of the month! We are still trying to get this done ASAP. The stop screaming course will be right behind it, but we are still going back and forth with the data recovery company on that project and may have to find ourselves re-recording the entire project. 

We left our house set up to be able to film a foraging course for you all. So please let me know any ideas you already use and implement, your favorite tactics, your questions about foraging and what you'd like to see included in this course! Ideally we would release all 3 new courses before going to Australia this summer. 

We also created our own birdie bread flavor special for our birds' tastes (specifically Comet, though) that we have named "Comet's Concoction". Its flavor is sweet potato and turmeric. We will be releasing this new flavor soon, along with our blueberry bread mix named after Jinxi (Bubba's Blend...) 

What's going on with my merch line?! 

I had a lot of different designs done, but nothing that really stuck out to me as "this is it!" so I still have many designers working on many different designs for me to review. As I receive them I will be sure to share them with you all and get your opinions. I have been considering the artists in my "fan art" highlight on Instagram. Maybe I am being too picky, but nothing is really hitting the mark for me yet. 

Here are some recent designs that have been made so you guys can let me know your thoughts: 

The reason none of these hit the mark for me is mainly because I want the merch designs to be about the birds (no people involved in the designs, ideally... unless something just really stands out to me but I want this message to be about the birds.) 

But I LOVE MY FAN ART! This merch stuff is just really about the bird designs so I am still waiting for something I fall in love with on that front. 

I am considering trying again with the designer who did Comet's merch design. One of the problems I ran into with her other bird designs was the birds looking jagged and sickly based on the artistic style and I really did not want to portray that. 

So the merch continues to be a struggling point for me. I hope a designer that is currently working on a design will have the IT factor I am looking for, but as always, I do not want to rush this process or concept. 

Also, some of you requested a tote bag design. Since I do not currently have one, I decided to see our how Freestyle Flyer's Club logo would look and I really love it as a sticker and tote so I created both. Usually this design is exclusive to our flight students, but I thought a tote would be okay for everyone and a great conversation-starter about keeping birds flighted.
