BTT | Achieving The Perfect Recall

Dave and I decided to continue our Flight Training Series because there's so much interest and benefit from this series and the gems you can learn. We hope everyone applies indoor flight training and recall habits for long-term success and avoiding accidents ending badly.

Let us know if you have more flight-specific questions that you'd like to see a Bird Tricks Tuesday cover! And sorry we were so wiped out in this video... we filmed this in the middle of a tour schedule that had us pretty exhausted, especially since Dave signed us both up for that 5k...

Ok it's probably something with my phone. Thank you πŸ™‚

Hi Kristen, they appear to be working for me when I try. I did not take any of them down so they should all be public to view. You can also try using this link directly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNxatV2Ikzc&t=1s

Hi Jamie! I've opened newer posts when they're on vimeo and I can play those fine but these won't load for some reason. Did you take them down? I would love to watch the entire flight series but they aren't loading when I click play πŸ€”

Oh God you guys! I am not into free flight (cockatiel), but this video was so so so helpful for me! My boyfriends laughs at me, because I call Elvis so many times, since he does not react quickly sometimes. Now I know how to tackle this. Thank you thank you thank you! And Jamie made me laugh when she was just being the perch for a while and Dave did all the talking πŸ˜‚ love you guys!

I learn so much from your videos. My little Herbie Anne is 4 mos old, clipped by breeder, but she can definitely catch some air and flies short distances. Flight training is definitely on the menu for the future, if not some recall training for short distances (indoors) very soon. I've been working on trick training, which I consider to be more training me to communicate with her effectively. This video reminded me (as many of your videos do) to not get too far ahead of myself, and especially the part about our own body language and talking to our birds as an unintended reward ... totally guilty.

Awe that makes me feel good πŸ’•πŸ₯°

This is exactly the kind of info I was after!! Thank you so much!!

But seriously, this video is just mind blowingly informative. Cannot wait for the random rewarding video too!

This has been such an illuminating video! However I struggle with recall that is not taking place in a formal training session, when my bird decides that he wants to sit on top of somewhere inaccessible in the house that I can't get to because he chooses to be up there. I am evidently missing something in the equation!

Great video! I'm excited for the "all about wind" topic. Thanks for the info and the entertainment. 'Cause you two make me smile and laugh (when appropriate). ;0 )

It’s all in the details!! Boomer and I just had the best session in his Aviary! I took his stand from our inside sessions out there and he immediately knew it was time to focus, even with a dove nearby carrying on! Thank you both for the quality content in all your videos!

Kim Russell

I knew that Boomer and I were in good hands but this video really helped to solidify that! ❀️ I am so excited about this journey! ❀️
