Custom YouTube Thumbnail Creation

I am working on yet another project... trying to figure out a "style" for my YouTube channel thumbnails. I've tried figuring this out in the past to no avail, and always feel like I have no direction on this so I wanted to ask you guys for your thoughts and opinions.
Maybe you can link me to a style you like/prefer, or give suggestions on what would fit me and my channel... do you like text, do you like graphics, do you like bright colors... do you like photos or do you like screen captures... do you like emojis (please say no) and all that sort of thing...
I ended up asking my graphic designer if she had ideas as well and am waiting on a response for that as well... but thought you'd all like being part of this process! So let me know!

2019-06-26 18:25:49 +0000 UTCFor good stills, you can pre determine what might make a good thumbnail and pause for sec like you're taking a picture or if you're the one filming and your camera allows taking a photo while you're filming thats another good way.

But yeah, it would be nice to have my own template/style. Their photos look really nice and high quality, I don't always get good images from my videos like that.

I like the way Animal Wonders does theirs; but of course your style would be different. I do have a personal bugaboo with the click-baity reaction frown screenshots that seem so popular now. But that's just me lol.
