Lefty bit my niece... eek!

We had some stuff to work through this week... it's hard when little girl emotions are involved.

Note: This video will be public on YouTube on July 18; keep in mind I need to schedule these videos out so a day or so before public launch the video will be unavailable to you guys when I schedule and launch it.

Lefty bit my niece... eek!

I love seeing Capri with the birds. She's a natural. Charlie is a brave one to keep wanting to handle Leftie after her bite. I love your approach to kids handling birds. I learned a lot...again. =0 )

Kathy Surber

I totally agree with this approach. Even with my cat, I do this. If you get a scratch or bite from a bird or cat, it means the child did not listen or see the signs.

Capri is such a pro with the birds. What a great childhood she is having. The photo of Charley and Lefty is worth framing. You’re a fantastic teacher of both birds and kids πŸ€£πŸ™Œβ€οΈ

Fantastic learning opportunity! I find myself getting a little too enthusiastic, just like the kids, and this is a good reminder for me as well to take a step back and respect the bird.

Heather Wolf

Ah so sweet. Love seeing kids learn to interact with animals. You do it so well Jamie. And your niece was so brave! Many kids wouldve been outta there after a nip. This was a great video.

Jennifer Perez

A fairly gentle example of natural consequences, beautifully done Jamie. Kudos to Charley staying the course! And Capri, great training!

The ending had this grandma LOL πŸ˜† First, Lefty looks so healthy! The diet sunshine baths & lots of love have made a night and day difference. Jaime I wholeheartedly agree with your approach to consequences. It warms my heart to see the way you train both wiggly excitable chatty little girls and birds at the same time. The confidence being instilled in Capri re her abilities in handling birds will have a lifelong impact on her life. You're doing great work mom! πŸ‘

Good for her for getting back in there and not letting the bite scare her off. That ending! πŸ˜‚πŸ’•

It's a robin, Yeah, I knowπŸ˜‚πŸ˜˜

I love Lefty. Cute matching outfits. Sorry about the bite. I hope it wasn't too traumatic.

Cheryl Kinkaid

It's so sweet to watch your daughter handle Lefty!!! When he jumps off of her onto the couch and she's like "So, he did a small flight" she sounds JUST like you in your training videos, it's adorable. My heart simply cannot take it.
