I know, right?! That was one thing that was sooo cool about Oz. During masterclasses Mel would often run outside and grab grass seed for the small birds!

Thank you!!

I LOVE this! I was just inspired by this to make a simple foraging toy from cardboard, egg carton and twine, and put a few little branches (from a larger branch) of millet in it, and my GCC (who is toy picky - but she's learning, I love BirdTricks' toy subscription) went to town on it! I don't care for "crafty" projects, but this took me all of 90 seconds. And she went for it like flies on $***! Thank you!

Thank you so much!

I’m always envious of Australians owners who need only take a walk and grab native foliage for enrichment for their cockatiels and cockatoos. It’s easy to know it is safe because they live in it. The bottlebrush flowers are so cool. 😭 I live in the Pacific Northwest whose environment is opposite so none of that flora is growing here. I have, however, been eyeing a neighbour a few doors down who has some fig trees lining their fence. 👀 (interestingly, they also have coop of fancy doves/pigeons outside).
