Tell me your favorite video...

I'm giving one of my training courses (your choice of Family Friendly Parrot Formula 1 or 2) to two people who touch me the most with their comments...

I'd love for you guys to simply copy and paste the link to your favorite YouTube video from BirdTricks and state why it's your favorite in a comment.

I'll choose two and announce them on May 14th. And don't worry, if you don't get chosen I'm having a flash sale on these courses on May 15 and 16 for half off their normal prices (and you guys get to know ahead of time that's happening!) no code necessary, prices will be as marked on the website.

https://youtu.be/by54qevmF-4 Back in December when my significant other and I adopted our scarlet macaw, he was supposed to be hand tame. Turns out he was far from and had been taught to bite hands and bluff because his old owner would treat him for it and it was a game to our macaw. We have followed majority of your videos and have been able to hand tame him since to the point of being able to move him from his cage to his play stand without the threat of being bitten or attacked. We have also been able to teach him not to shoulder rush based on your videos and technics you have shown in your videos. It was very hard to choose between your videos but I have chosen this one because we ourselves have been dealing with finding out our macaw was used as a breeder bird previous to us getting him and we have been fighting his hormones and his hormonal triggers from day one due to this. We have been able to figure out triggers (one of which being me) and have found ways to avoid most of his triggers thanks to your videos! Your videos have help us bring our macaw to a bird we can handle and the seasonal feeding system has made a huge difference in his behaviour and we are thankful for everything you have shown and continue to show so we can continue to learn from it!

A couple days after I watched the video. the budgie of a friend of my past away she didn’t know why he past away so fast he was only 5 years. Turned out He was on a al seed diet. Now she has a new budgie he is on a heathy diet. I wouldn't have known this if it wasn't for your video. thank you for making this video and all the other content on patron and YouTube. you Guys are great.

I love all the Morgan's series, but this video is my favourite https://youtu.be/L8qxWcrCl2M, it give me hope for every bird in captivity who never learn to fly to start learning to do one thing they designed to do. I was fostering a rescue alexandrine parrot that for the first several years of its life spent in small cage in the back of pet shops, being passed from one pet shop to another as failed to be adopted. She never know how to use her wings and always crashed to the floor when fall. She finally slowly learned how to fly after a year being with us, and now happily rooming inside her new home. I just adopted a baby budgie and an Eclectus, and hope I can give the best life they can have.

First video I watched of yours was the brining a new bird home first day with Morgan. It really opened my eyes to what having a positive relationship with a bird should look like. Although I hadn’t had my bird for very long at that point so therefore hadn’t screwed it up too bad I was able to go though a lot of your training videos and Family Friendly parrot formula and fix things I’d done wrong. I got my second bird kind of by accident. She was abandoned at a shelter that had no idea how to care for birds and a friend of mine was working there the next day and had asked me to come see her. Ended up taking home an untamed, sick, neglected bird. It’s been almost a year since she came home with me and she is my best little buddy. We have so much fun with flight and trick training. I feel like my life revolves around my 2 girls and my fat little hedgehog and I absolutely love it. Thank you birdtricks for everything! ❤️

This was a really tough question to answer, as so many videos have helped me tremendously in so many different ways in such a short amount of time. By implementing your techniques and tips I feel like our whole family has really made leaps from where we started when we got our birds. I get so excited about every little step forward! Granted, it’s on a MUCH smaller scale than you, it’s like talking to a lion tamer about their house cat! But they have really helped to build our relationship. I think I would have to pick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1bQasRvelM. We had just gotten 2 of our 3 cockatiels, and after about 2-3 days we realized one was very sick. We took her to the animal ER and were given meds, but were told to expect the worst as she was pretty far gone. Even though it had only been a few days, we had bonded with her, and my 7 and 10 year olds were heartbroken. To make matters worse, at the same time I became quarantined, so it was her and I locked in the room together. The first two nights were hard. I was worried about being sick, and worried about Lemon, so sleep wasn’t happening. She had fallen off her low perch several times, and wasn’t eating or drinking. I was afraid to sleep because I was worried she would pass in the night. I was googling everything I could about her symptoms, diet, anything, which was a bad idea because all the information I was finding was convoluted, contradicting, and (I now know) wrong. Somehow I came across this video, and for those few minutes I was able to let it all go and just watched, and was in absolute awe of this bird. Seeing her progress and eventually fly free was the most incredible thing I had ever seen. Noticing her foot, I was curious what happened, so I ended up watching the whole Morgan series. My father, who passed away recently, had an accident while working about 6 months before I was born, so he was in a wheelchair my entire life. I spent my life hearing people tell him he couldn’t do things, and watching him prove them wrong, and Morgan in a way reminded me of him. He always had a thing for animals, and because of his disability he always had a soft spot for the animals with disabilities that no one wanted, so I know he would have absolutely loved Morgan. After that I started watching more of your videos to learn about who you were and what you do, and saw the love and compassion you have for all birds and was hooked. Watching your progress with the different birds really gave me the confidence to really do best for our birds, and made it seem much less overwhelming. When you get a pet, you don’t expect to lose it in only a few short days, so it was a really hard time for us. I spent the rest of my quarantine watching your videos, reading your blog and taking notes. I was determined to nurse Lemon back to health and give her (and her buddies) the best possible life I could. During those first few touch and go days, learning from your blogs and videos made me feel so much better. I felt the more information I could find the better I could care for them, so the more I learned the more confident I became. Lemon luckily recovered, and now I feel like a have a really good start in making their lives the best that they can be. I’m a huge advocate for your site, videos and diet, that I got myself into trouble! In a bird group on Facebook, I began answering some questions about diet with links to your blog posts and videos. The admin said I was of self-promoting and temporarily muted me! But I’m sorry, when the admin is constantly talking about how wonderful her seed diet is for her birds, and pushing it onto brand new bird owners who know nothing (which was me!) I couldn’t keep quiet! While it was a huge compliment for me (lol!) I had to explain that I am not at all affiliated with BirdTricks other than being completely obsessed lol… I want to share the information I’ve learned, and I’ll keep advocating  I know I’ve only just scratched the surface and my journey learning about birds is only beginning, but I’m grateful of what I’ve learned so far, and it was all because of that beautiful video which opened the door for me.

https://youtu.be/VJrjdiusKjw this is definitely my favorite video from you! When I first came across your channel around when this video was posted I really wanted a bird and happened to come across these wonderful people who can help with decisions like that. Now that I go back and watch that video it shows me how much you actually care for birds and for peoples education on them. I may have not my feather baby’s in such good health if I didn’t come across your channel then. It makes my heart feel good to know that people like you and Dave spread awareness on how to start with birds or to recommend to not get a bird. I know for a fact with that video alone you saved countless birds from unsuitable homes. Thank you for all you guys do!

https://youtu.be/L8qxWcrCl2M This is the very first video I came across! I'm hoping I'm not duplicating. I thought I posted this already and came back and it wasn't here. I went through a pretty traumatic life changing event when my niece was murdered by her husband at just 20 years old. She had a 15 month old baby girl. She was more like a daughter to me and this left me in a pretty dark place. My daughter was a few years younger and getting ready to graduate and start her life and I was feeling like I could hardly find a reason to get out of bed. I would find myself awake in the middle of the night and started watching you tube to keep my mind occupied. I had birds growing up and my very own first bird was a Quaker that I just adored. When he passed away it completely broke my heart. I came across this video of Morgan and started watching every video you made. I decided I really wanted a bird back in my life. When I found my first little parrotlet it made such a difference in my mental health and was excited for every morning to get up and work on taming and training. It was so fun seeing how quickly he picked up on things and became really tame for such a tiny bird. Since then I have got two other birds and I enjoy training and working with them so much. You have taught me so much and I really appreciate what birds bring into my life. I think it was just meant to be!! My birds live a much better life because of you! Thank you so much for everything you have taught me and just the joy I get out of watching you with your birds!! I will always be a big supporter of all that you do!!

I hope the pet store continued to incorporate veggies after you left! Hello from a fellow cockatiel owner ~ 👋

Your video of Morgan and bringing home a new bird was my "gateway" video .... https://youtu.be/wLNB1zQIOS4 We were adopting a 14yr old CAG and people were telling me "leave her in the cage and let her settle in" and it just didnt feel right.... I felt I needed to start building a relationship right away with her even though I did not know what that would look like. I stumbled upon birdtricks and watched that video and then binged watched SO MANY of your videos..... It has given me such key pillars of foundation to start off right with her: nutrition, training, toys etc and just overall health and wellness for my new bird ❤❤ After watching SO MANY videos, my all time FAVORITES are the first free flights outdoors, seeing those birds flying free and returning to their human is a tear jerker for sure.... I want that for my CAG as a long term goal ❤ the video that made me LAUGH so hard was all the vids with STORM the interrupting amazon: https://youtu.be/dpjOtGKkBiE 😂😂😂

I have 2 videos that I have chosen that completely changed my life and the life of my parrot. The first free flying video I watched (https://youtu.be/h9kMYN8-oMQ) had me in tears. Those tears stemmed from regret that my bird wasn’t living this life, happiness that some birds out there were living this life in a safe way, and hope that perhaps one day my bird could live a life at least closer to this life. I honestly cry through every free flying video, because the idea connects with my soul. My bird may never be healthy enough to live exactly like your birds, but I can apply some of these principles to practicing short distances in my house and maybe outside under a safety net in the future. The other video that changed my life is https://youtu.be/6iAiGv_e_H8. My parrot’s cage is large and would be approved by any avian vet or parrot professional in my area, so I never considered anything different...until I saw how you care for your birds. Also, this was my first glimpse into a different way of feeding. My parrot has always been on Roudybush pellets, and very minimal fresh food. My parrot also has elevated liver enzymes and now has a seizure disorder. The first thing I did was purchase the cookbooks and start feeding the Seasonal Nutrition Feeding System, and now that he is eating that pretty well, I’ve started switching him over to your pellets. I am saving up for a huge aviary to replace his normal cage, and I will put his current cage on my screened porch to use for outdoor time. I haven’t quite been following for a year yet, but you both have changed my life and my parrot’s life. I’ll always be incredibly grateful!

https://youtu.be/aXqS6qk7qDI Long story short, when we brought Bandit home just 8 days ago, I was so scared that I would be a terrible bird mom and that I was doomed to 30 years of a scary crazy mean bird. I had no idea how to train or proper diet or anything. Then my husband and I found this video and it was awesome! We tried this with Bandit and it immediately started our bond with him. We have since fallen down this rabbit hole and are "bird" people. Not to get too personal, but my husband and I are unable to have children of our own at this time. We have battled infertility for 6 years, which we found out about shortly after we got married. This has caused a lot of depression for both of us. Having Bandit is the closest thing we can have to a child, and it has been magical! Birdtricks has helped give us the confidence to know that we are going to raise him into a family friendly parrot. We love birdtricks!

https://youtu.be/gLV6DjUhpJc. This is just one of many of my favorites. It not only shows your dedication to your project birds, it also shows no matter the age of a bird it's behavior can change. You can teach an old bird new tricks. Sometimes just a change of scenery can change a birds whole demeanor. Wala Lefty❣️ The way Capri showed him what it's like when your human loves you and he suddenly became a cuddle bug because of her. It also shows how even very young children can be taught how to treat an animal and learn to respect their boundaries. I absolutely love that your whole family interact with all your birds , projects included. This video shows me that even though you're the one taking on these birds the others can step in if it's best for the bird. Anyway, this is a great video.

https://youtu.be/IrOBcncx_f0 Hi my name is Brandon. I'm 23 and I live in Utah valley! I'm sharing a video from about a year ago which teaches how to incorporate healthy vegetables into a diet and why it's important. I was drawn to BirdTricks last year after YouTube suggested the diet video. At the time I was working at a small pet store as a manager. We hand reared birds and I was working with conures, parrot let's and budgies, cockatiels, caiques, African greys and finches. All the birds were on a free choice seed and rainbow colored pellet mix. They would pick out sunflower seeds and larger treats out of the mix. Watching this video made me feel extremely guilty and I immediately thought of the birds in my care. I started grating and chopping veggies every day and offered them to the birds, all of which LOVED the healthy food. We started incorporating veggies into the diet for those birds and I learned what I had shared about fatty liver disease. I don't work at the pet store any more, but since then I've adopted two male adult cockatiels. They were extremely shy and fearful, eating a full seed diet, fully clipped, etc. Now they are eating morning chop, BirdTricks pellets, target trained, and learning the wave. The braver boy loves to sit on my shoulder and receive cuddles and the other will sit on my hand. Both my babies have recently been featured in your Instagram shares (a video about finally getting a bathing response and a video about foraging in toy balls) and are making huge progress! BirdTricks helped me realize what I was doing wrong, and then gave me steps to become better at caring for the birds in my life. Thank you so much ❤️https://photos.app.goo.gl/qPsEHUDZt1BpHUZE6

https://youtu.be/D-W74bm68Bw This one to me was absolutely great. We have a rescue Blue and Gold, Ziggy, who is on at least his 5th home now. We ARE going to be his forever home. When he came to us from a caring young couple who were just too scared to handle him, he was a velociraptor. Scared to death, aggressive (my wife and I have the scars to prove it) and would scream constantly. After 3 short months tons of your videos and advice from a friend who works with rescue macaws often, he has turned into the very sweet bird we knew he wanted to be. This video was great as it showed us how his(maybe her) hormones might be used in conjunction with training. Thank you for these videos.

https://youtu.be/jtzz8bdCpu8 This was one of the very first training videos I watched (ever) and was the one that started to convince me I wanted to do a consult with you. It showed me how much I DIDN'T know and how much there was to learn. I tend to like the more "straight education" videos because I just learn SO MUCH, so I rewatched this video at least 20 times. It's also the video I send to anyone asking what is target training or needing target training in their lives. Love love love it!!

https://youtu.be/PLT7ZtJrXbA I was struggling with my sun conure, being afraid of water when I watched this video. The story of where this bird was kept broke my heart. By the end of the video, I was in tears. To take an animal whom was abused and terrified of something, and then teach it that it’s nothing to be afraid of is one thing. Then to have it actually enjoy bathing at the end, I legit cried I was so happy for that bird and it’s keeper. It was amazing. I used the same method for my bird, and now he baths like a pro!
