Thanks for answering my question! I will definitely try to use my cockatiel as a motivated for my jenday but since I posted that question he’s actually been doing a lot better out of the cage and actually wants to be out! Also my little side note of holding his feet with his size, should I be? Thanks guys! 😁

I think choosing one video a month to address is a great idea!

Love the idea of choosing a video! I learn so much from how you address the challenges other people have. I have the same issue with my GCC being super motivated to train all. The. Time. I've had to limit training so that she'll eat all of her chop and pellets, and that's actually helped a lot.

Thank you for this! 2 of my tiels go into baby comas in the shower- head up, eyes closed, pointed at the water spray. It LOOKS like they're enjoying a spa treatment, and are on CRAZY slo-mo while in and getting out. I figured they liked it, I keep my hand there and neither try to climb out, usually a have to peel their toes off, so I thought they liked it. But in the back of my head I kept thinking what if they were frozen in fear and I was totally traumatizing them?!? So glad to know they're not the only ones, and that it IS normal! lol And it would be cool to see videos, even one or two, see how we interpret it, then see how close we are with how you guys interpret it! And FUNNY!!!! That's all I"m seeing in another bird group.... "is my bird OK? Is he choking? Is he dying??? Um, no, but you may want to wash your hand/arm/face.... It's seriously BirdHub lately XD

I would LOVE to submit a video to go along with my question! I struggle with keeping my words concise and providing enough detail - the video could only enhance that. To follow up, I only treat with almonds because I have yet to find anything else he will accept. I have spent a ridiculous amount of $$ on various nuts, seeds and dried fruits and offered them in small piles, per your treat buffet method. He eats the almonds first, picks up and spits out one each of anything else I have offered and then walks away. Literally. But you gave some great suggestions - I'm going to try the pellets, corn and peas and I'll come up with a couple other things and try again. If he still sticks with just almonds, his rejection of all other treats may be the video I send to you, so you can tell me how to modify. And THANK YOU for answering my question!
