Wondering how to get my Macaw to step up on my hand and not my arm? I've had him 4 months now and he's 3 years old. The previous owner had him stepping up on his arm. Any suggestions would be great!

Thank you for the information here. It's so educational for me, a bird care novice. 😉 I can hardly wait for your next Tuesday video. 💖😊👍

WoW! Thanks for the tip! My african grey is missing 2 toes. He’s super friendly and follow me all around the house but he never wants to step up because he struggles to balance. I started working on the ground and he’s way more confident. We made huge progress already. Thank you!

I totally agree on this! Love it saving one bird at a time! Forever homes 🤗❤️🦜!

Thats true, my green cheek conures landed on my hand, shoulder or head when they choose to fly to me and just on my hand during flight training.

I wonder if this is a more of an owner of medium to large birds thing. Small birds seems more obvious to us that they can fit on our hand or perch on a finger. My cockatiel, however, never chooses to land on my forearm. Usually it’s hands and if I’m not quick enough to catch her (and/or not paying attention), it’s my head!

Yay! can't wait to see more guys! So... was that 2/18? 1. Do not compensate and 2. Catch with your hand...?
