No, these are the ones I've always had that I use in my garage and move out when the weather is accommodating.

Are these your new aviaries??

Sandy

Then I would set repetition limits or time limits. You don't want to over train in any aspect where the training becomes not fun or the treat not valuable, or the bird ends up slowly converting to an all treat diet!

What about for birds that aren’t ready to stop. My CAG will keep going as long as there are nuts and seeds involved. Is it best to keep a time frame and or amount of snacks involved or keep going as long as they are willing? Dexter doesn’t care if he’s had breakfast or not either.

Rodney Larios

I love seeing these unedited sessions. They give a real sense of difficulties that can take place during the training and how you push through them. So thanks much for these video's. =0 ) P.S. Such beautiful babies.

Not sure if you saw the ending or not, but she says she is specifically training in the aviary so Phoebe can have more confidence by having her sisters around without having them actually with her to take over here training session. Jamie said that once she's more confident she's hoping it'll transfer to taking her into the house to train one on one. Hope that explains, she talks about it RIGHT at the end of the video. 🙂

I actually wanted to ask for the reason you train her in the aviary, it seems like a distraction for her but I bet there’s a reason you do it there

^the reason people use a clicker is actually because for humans, clicking a button is a quicker task for the brain to process, and using our vocals isn’t as quick of a task. so it’s easier for us as people to pin point a specific reaction with a click rather than a sound. that’s the reason I try to click train my doggo too 😂

Guy Goldstein K

I noticed that my guy will step up on my left hand and not my right. :)

Patricia Lynn

Since she is nervous with the clicker, can you use a word to mark the behavior? I do that with my dog.
