Some birds chew toys initially out of aggression - then realize it's fun and do it in a more calm state. I wouldn't say it's species specific though as I've seen it in all species.

2020-08-26 15:10:02 +0000 UTCThanks for the info about peanuts. I guess is one of those foods like parsley, etc that it is up to the owner decide to feed it to his parrots or not, overestimating nutrition or parrots´pleasure despite the high toxic risk.
