Bean - Naughty or Nice?

Bean surprised everyone but Bondi today...

Bean - Naughty or Nice?

Comments

Finally got a chance to watch this video! I loved the dancing! Bean is definitely growing in confidence and surprised he's started getting rude towards bondai! She's such a sweetie!!

The change in Bean after being outdoors for a bit is pretty amazing! Do birds resource guard? It looked like Bean knew his breakfast was in the crate, was too scared to go in for it and was becoming...anxious(?) about Bondi being near it? I saw the feathers over his shoulders lift briefly. What does that mean in birdy body language?

What I saw at 22:08 was him step away a bit with a couple quick, big eye pins, followed by a twitch with his neck stretching out a bit. Only lasts a second so easy to miss but felt like a lunge was coming. After that he's mostly facing away from the camera so couldn't see any other signs until the lunge.

Bean's behavior reminds me so much of my CAG Wilson's (I know. I say that every time!). Do you think Bean was guarding his breakfast from Bondi or was it just her proximity in that moment that caused him to act out for some other reason? Either way, that was awesome progress in a short time. It was also great to see "real life" happen around you and how you and Bean responded/continues working in spite of it. Thanks (as always) for sharing.

you built up the suspense so much I was afraid it was going to be really bad, glad it was just mock bites on the crate! It's really good to see Bean progressing so much <3

It's awesome to see how much Bean has overcome fear. I laughed so much at his 'woooo' and dancing to music - he seemed to be in a relaxed and fun mood! Also laughed at the neck and tongue stretch with foot up to avoid stepping forward xD

Maddy Williams

It was more of a posturing thing - he did this exaggerated stomp

“Oh wait-this video is about Bean!”🤣🤣🤣. Wow Distracto Dave! Who knew fridge stuff could make so much noise!😜. I could not see the mood but Bondi sure knew what was up!!❤️❤️

Mr. Bean: See how far I can stretch my neck and not move? 😂🤣😂

True!! We had this video on the big TV, I switched it back to my phone lol... his weight is maintaining, the day we brought the new guy home he was 426 empty (the travel I think was a really stressful 24 hours). And he is staying between that and 430 day to day. He is eating lots of fresh veggies throughout the day and tears up the pellets at night (yay!), but in the am he picks at the chop, he’ll usually finish it but it’ll take at least an hour or 2. I think I’m missing something... Besides that it’s been amazing, targeting is great, great with the girls, just an absolute sweetheart 💜

What's his weight? Also it's ideal with a new bird you don't know well to avoid over heightening and over stimulating (ie: club music)

BirdTricks

Of course the FIRST thing I did was put on some club music!! 😂😂😂 but I do need advice! My new guy is definitely not that enthusiastic about chop, what am I doing wrong? Any tips? It seems what works one day (sweet potato, egg) doesn’t work the next.

I really struggle to see the warning sign bean gave to bondi on the crate. Was it the head going down? He was all puffed out??
