I know this is kinda old but I really don't get why they got rid of the masks and opted for cloaks instead because if I'm remembering correctly the manga never had the normal members wearing cloaks they all had masks including the seven shadows and cid himself

2023-02-03 10:49:06 +0000 UTCAside from the Magic their society is basically at a Victorian level. That means steam engines and gas lighting. By pumping up the gas pressure he turned just about every light in the school into a makeshift flame thrower.

2022-12-01 03:21:17 +0000 UTCThe manga does the reveal so much better there's not even a hint he was behind it till the mention he once had the eye of avarice and even then with how integrated the cult is with the government it was possible they acquired it that way. The anime went out of its way to paint him as a villain from like his second appearance and I hate it.

2022-12-01 03:15:44 +0000 UTCAnd it was hilarious that when Princess Rose split the enemy's body in two, she saw a flash back reminding her of the sword skill that she used when she encountered bandits long ago and Cid using a bag as a mask & killing off the bandits with the same sword skill and I guess it was before he got the Slime body suite. She used a sword skill that Shadow used without realizing.

But from afar they cannot see his face because his hair and the shadow from the hood that covers his head. And when Cid is Shadow he gives a powerful Aura & Magic but when he is normal he conceals his aura & magic, so I guess others think they are two different people who looks similar. As for Sherry she saw her mother getting Stabbed but she didn't saw who killed her mother and when she entered she never turned back to see who killed her mother cuz she was in shock. And finally MAL has listed that Eminence in Shadow has 20 Episodes for the First Season.
