The battle between Shadow and The Witch of Calamity was cool, but I want to see which hero is heeding his call at the end! I also am interested to hear more of what's on Alpha's mind! 2022-12-16 00:42:44 +0000 UTCIt was Epsilon and Alpha having the clandestine meeting. The switch the Baldy stepped on is what activates the summoning gate for sanctuary. He was controlling who could and could not fight a spirit. That's why he was so shocked when Shadow activated the summoning ritual. FYI, this is following the LN and not the manga. Someone might have said so in an earlier comment section, but I can't remember. There are big differences in the two. For example: The events of the first episode taking place on Earth aren't even introduced until chapter 48 of the manga. In the manga version only about 30% of the events from the first episode are even covered. So the funny thing is that the first episode of the anime is a spoiler for manga readers.

2022-12-16 00:34:57 +0000 UTCA bit annoyed they didn't introduce Anne Rose with her fight this episode. Also Cid was regretting not being able to fight against the Witch at her full power, as it showed her in chains, symbolizing that her powers were being chained down.
