I've gathered the sense that for the longest time she's been considered the top of the power heap, the star player of the kingdom, and now she's being confronted with people that have so much power it makes her look like a helpless child. Accepting that, and that it could be possible, attacks the very foundation of her sense of self worth. If she's really that weak compared to others, what has she done with her life? What value could she really have as a royal, a princess? She'd rather believe that these people are using artifacts that can store and unleash massive amounts of power, than accept that what she thought was the limits of human power is actually only the starting line of what's possible. Also, I think you're right that Rose at the end was starting to display early signs of possession.

So if Rose getting possessed will she eventually join shadow garden after she get cured. Man I'm really looking forward for the next episode. 🤗
