" So when Elinor tells Chidi, "You and I are...Bambadjan" It actually means something to him. Chidi responds "You know I never thought about it before, but yeah we are Bambadjan" lol. It's such a subtle joke that could be easily overlooked. It's just a testament to the clever writing.
