When the gang is walking at the beginning and Michael says "If you eat anything in this ihop you will literally explode," you can see the demon Trevor fly by. You can hear him scream as well. He's been flying through the void ever since the judge flicked him into the void.

Really appreciate the commentary on veganism and the complexity of shopping ethically. I'm vegan - have been for 13 years - and I started when I first went to uni, when I was learning to cook from scratch for the first time - I think it was only easy for me, because I had no other cooking experience, so there was nothing non-vegan to fall back on. I live in south-east Asia now, in a country which is definitely not very vegan-friendly for people who are just starting out, and I'm certain that I would have struggled much more to make the transition to veganism if I'd lived here at the time. It all boils down to the same ideas addressed in this episode: it's much easier to make ethical choices if you're living in a society which makes those choices uncomplicated and easily accessible for everyone. We're getting there - even veganism in my home city is only about 5 years behind the UK now - but it's still not simple.

Oh I'm cool with their relationship. I think I reneged on that a while ago, they handled the transition well I think and drip fed the prospect of it in a way that it feels natural at this point 😊

Great review, and wow I never really thought about what you said, that they're basically "redoing season 1" with new players - you're right but also I feel like the show completely changes as of the last 2 or so episodes, where all of a sudden it shifts from a goofy comedy to a show about existentialism, free will, nurture vs nature, etc - BUT stil told in a lighthearted and entertaining way. SO EXCITED you've hit this point, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts from here. Also - keen to check in and hear your take on the Chidi/Eleanor relationship? I remember you saying early on that it felt forced/unneccessary, but I'm so curious if your feelings about it have changed now.
