2025-04-08 17:56:55 +0000 UTC😨😨😨 ... Just watched the first episode. Holy shit. 😨. 🙈 Ngl. I'm a bit creeped out and hooked at the same time. My favorite genre is Dystopian (in books). But this is like Dystopia meets horror (which horror is my fav. movie genre). --And yet, hooked. But scared to binge. But want to binge. Your reaction did make it more palatable and maybe I won't have nightmares from this because of it? I fully agree with everything you said about the proletariat rising and the lack of self-empathy and yes, yes, yes. But you made a comment about the other extreme and it made me think of the cookie cutter neighborhood and then of communist tenements - the uniformity that arises when the left goes too far left (into Stalinism) and swings back to the other extreme but in a different way. Are we going to see that? The metaphors! Ok. I'm excited. And terrified. I'm gonna go watch the next episode and call it a night. Wow.

2025-04-08 03:34:47 +0000 UTCIs Severance the best show currently on air? I think so. I am very glad you decided to watch it cause it is right up your alley. Severance has one of the most interesting premise for a show I've ever seen. Of course a good idea is not enough to make a good show. But in this case the writers clearly have thought a lot about their concept and what story they can tell from it. Plus, the photography is beautiful. Every detail we can see on screen seems to be here for a reason. And, in top of that, the actors are all very good. I particularly enjoyed Patricia Arquette during season 1. I have not seen season 2 yet (I kind of am 2 years late in my TV shows watching list because I spent the last 2 years focusing on discovering new music and it's hard to find time to do both) but, knowing that you will react to season 2 in about two months from now, I will find the time to catch up to be able to share my thoughts with you^^ Between Buffy, Angel soon and Severance now, I am happy to follow you on Patreon. Keep up the good work. And side note: I really like your rings ;)
