This series is pretty popular in Japan especially thanks to the live action version being a big hit, and of course the manga plot was initially very good. On the other hand, like many popular series hinged by it's popularity, the author had to introduce new characters, new arcs, new settings that were not as good as he originally intended, to keep the series going. Some of these characters, like Takemitchy, have turned from relatable to straight insufferable, potential wasted... BD arc is a relatively weak arc, and the anime adaptation didn't help neither. Next arc will be decent, I just hope the studio would make some efforts.
