She said someone with Tokio's face would come save them, but that could be 20 years down the road and I'm still guessing on whether the facility will be affected by the Calamity or not.

Maru mentioned robots being a common thing before the Calamity, and even if the end of the world being caused by them is just a theory it really seems like the rest was true. During Maru's adventure there's almost no robotic presence, but they're all over the facility and even have an advanced AI as the center of Heaven.

2023-05-04 22:52:24 +0000 UTCAn important information in this episode is in the institution they use the era year(Ten’ei 17) instead of the Gregorian calendar outside(2039 at the present time of the duo). Which brings even more questions about when exactly did events in the institution take place, it could be the past, the present time or the future. Why this era name? Is that even on Earth etc. Just to clarify for those who don’t get it since Japan is the only country that still use the system.
