I will eventually share this news publicly but I am not ready yet. It takes me a while to mention this in the video itself so I wanted to make sure to state it here. I love you guys and appreciate you all so much. I trust this info with all of you and will update you when I find out more.

This sucks, I absolutely know. I've lost birds too, and it's like losing a child. I don't normally Bible thump (I'm pretty religious, but don't force it on anyone, but I will speak biblically here). Blueberry is sitting on Jesus's shoulder watching you make this video Jamie. You're heart, I am adamantly sure, is as big as the planet. Losing Blueberry was, is, and will be hard. You will never forget him, and he will never, ever forget you. You, Dave and Capri (my Amazon rescues namesake) are very special people and it's evident in your personalities. Whether you believe religiously or not, please at least think about the possibility that when you do cross the veil, all loved ones, including and especially pets, will be happily waiting for us. For them, it will be as if only minutes have passed. The greatest thing about it all is that we can and will spend eternity with them. Take comfort in that, please..... Keep up your excellent work, there are a lot of "boibs" that need our help and you guys are kind of like the head ambassadors for bird care (and to be honest, how to be a decent human being).

I am sorry I had totally missed this video before this evening. 😪It is soon midnight here in Finland and I kind of had to do "something" because I can't sleep... so I did put on a battery candle for Bluberry. It is quite corny but I think she will understand. 💙Because of her I have my birds and she educated us all so much. I think that worse than this horrible feeling would be if we never knew her at all. So I am thankful that we had the honor of knowing who Blueberry was.... She was an little blue angel on earth.💙🤍

I lost my two rabbits at the end of last year and it devasated me, losing an animal when you were doing 'everything right' is the worst feeling ever. You gave Blueberry the brightest, happiest four years she could have had, in the situation she was in, and her life helped educate so many on budgies, their care and their charm. I can't imagine how many birds' lives she changed for the better through your content. Please take all the time you need to grieve. I'm thinking of you ❤️

I'm grateful you picked me. After our fun ride home I could see right then that we were a family. You got me my own cage. A perch and toys too. When you were away I would play and think of you. We were always together a special bond we had. You taught me a couple of tricks. And that would make you glad. You liked to take pictures. So I would pose for you. I like to look pretty and act silly too. You made my life special with lots of love and fun . I love to perch and look outside until the day is done. There came a day I got sick. and you never left my side. But one day it was time for me to say goodbye. I spread my wings and flew up high Until I reached the sky. Please don't be sad. Just remember the good days that we had. I will be with you everyday. And our love will never fade away. I'll always be up high watching my family from the sky.

I have a wonderful avian vet, but he is just one person, and is only at his clinic four days a week because he is also teaching at a college veterinary program several hours away. And I totally understand what you mean by how it is harder when you just don't have any answers. Thank you for trusting us enough to share this.

Bella’s girl Pikachu, the one Mel “saved”, who was our first bird… also passed away a few weeks ago, no notice, no signs, no nothing… from one moment to the next. Same as you, necropsy came back as nothing wrong, which is great but horrible at the same time. We are sending huge hugs to you guys. Having to aggressively advocate for our pets in a situation like that does seem to amplify the intensity. And I completely agree that it does cause the nervous system to respond and even trigger PTSD. Though there are no words, I am sending love 🩵
