Love hearing Jamie say "she's so cute" "she's so fun". Just s few years ago it was "eww" "no thanks" " but why?" πŸ˜…πŸ˜˜

Jennifer Perez

Thanks for the thorough explanation about the power pause .

Sofiana Kusuma

Also I am all the yes for a remote indoor flight class.

FayK

Those illustrations are made for our future indoor flight course πŸ’› Dave currently uses them with his Freeflight students.

We haven’t done anything with that footage yet so you haven’t missed it being posted πŸ’›

Also, yes, please to a zoom indoor class.

Shawn Petersen

I have missed the indoor seminar footage, is there a link?

You always give the perfect advice -- it's creeping me out! ;) But thank you -- yes, I knew that I was likely reinforcing the "scared" and the behavior that comes with it, but could not think of how to work through it. The idea that through that specific method of (basically) the power pause could help reinforce a cue from him that he was uncomfortable, respect that information, and then work with it seems simple, but had not dawned on me. Also, you should sell those drawings and charts. Or maybe you do? The first one, with the training recall I think (the "maze"?) is incredible! (Oh, and P.S., we are working with our wonderful avian vet, and often talk about quality of life vs. extending what will likely be suffering, for him and other birds. Fortunately, he does not have any open wounds now -- but lots of Bird Tricks perches, toys, and training!)

Julie K

Yes please to the zoom indoor class!!!!!! That would be amazing!

Geneviève Bénard

I think that's a great idea! Sometimes switching trainers works wonders for certain behaviors.

I did watch the training course and the luring was not even working instead they flew to my shoulder. So I am almost wondering if I’m not the one to train this but have one of the kids? ( Btw my youngest is 16 so they are not small children)

FayK

Thank you for answering my question. I will work on the small increments with Oscar. I also loved the queuing by the bird's name advice. I've been saying Oscar's name during flight training with a slight difference in cadence than I usually say it. I also need to work on making sure that is really what is queuing him. A Zoom indoor flight training course sounds great!

Holden Kendrick

Yes yes yes!! I would love a remote indoor flight course
