86 Eighty Six Episode 16 Reaction

The saying is 'the calm before the storm', but this felt more like 'the storm before the hurricane/tornado/tsunami all at once'. LMAO! This episode was crazy from start to finish. That's all I'll say to avoid spoiling anyone.

Wow you got really emotional in this episode trying to argue through the screen =). I was expecting Magnolia to fall already in season 1, I don't think the whole race will be killed. But their city-state and the civilians will get to learn a rude awakening that they have been living a closed lives from reality while other people have been sacrificed to keep their luxury lifestyle available. I think the uncle was too sarcastic, 86 have to defend if they themselves want to survive...it's just stupid that Elba leadership doesn't understand that they needed to supply 86 fighters better. Think the Magnolia survivors will escape to Republic and Lena & Shin will reunite. In my mind the Republic will be the main place where they will oppose against Legion.

Are we 100% sure though? I remember the news saying unmanned drones back in part 1 but I also thought it was hinted that some might be aware of it. Ignorance is bliss is still accurate though. If they truly don't know then I feel bad for saying I want to see the republic fall. At that point I'd like to see the military fall but that'll go hand in hand with the citizens getting hurt too. Tough situation as most real life situations are. πŸ‘ The reason why I feel like some civilians might know is due to them being around when non Alba were taken away. What did they think was happening to those people, you know?

Btw, I guess you just forgot. But the people in the Republic, don't even know about the 86. It's not like they ignore it and are living blizzfully ignorant, the military constantly tells them there are no human sacrifices on the battlefield and that their robots are unmanned. It's nothing important, just felt like reminding you c:

I was wondering what was under that torn part of his sleeve. Very nice detail.

I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but this episode is the third time Rei has β€œsaved” Shin’s life. If you look back during the end of Shin’s bloodlust fight, and when he got out afterwards, one of the shots had blown through the cockpit and ricocheted off of Rei’s plate that Shin carries in his pocket, saving him. You can see it after the hug.

Waluigi

Ah ok. That makes more sense. I was wondering how he got there so quickly when he was attacking the Republic. Well yeah, I get the rail gun part, but the arrival is what threw me off.

It’s a small part, but I really liked Karlstahl here. From my perspective, he was very much behind Lena and what she was doing, but he was stuck between duty and what he cared for. That scene with him and her, I think, highlights that he’s always had her best interest in heart, but had pretty much thought everything was hopeless after all these years. His ideals aren’t great, but man is a realist. He accepted the Republic deserved everything that’s coming to them. Also, when it switched to Lena, that was 3 days before the battle Shin and co. were going through. So Kiri pretty much had all that time to go to where they are at the end of the episode. Plus, ultra long range railgun? You ain’t gonna be prepared for that.

It was the....perfect storm. ;)

Im tempted to say this is the best episode so far for me.
