I get where he is coming from and his reasoning is correct, but does it justify genociding the entire world outside of the Island? If someone wants to flatten the entire world even with the best of reasons, they need to be stopped. I am also an Anime only, and for me right now he is the best "I want to destroy the world" Villain that I have ever seen! I think some people can't just accept that character development of a Protagonist doesn't result in a better Person and Hero.
