Easily one of my favorites from when I watched this back in the day. Man, probably 10 years ago maybe? I feel like I'm in a pretty unique position when it comes to reacting to One Piece. I'm just vibing and enjoying the ride while trying to add extra insight that I couldn't do if watching for the first time.
Anyway! This has been a lot of fun so far. So happy I decided do this and thank you so much to those who are coming along for the journey. The fight is in the next episode! So hype!

That is a nice detail. I have a feeling they took it out because it wasn't in the manga, maybe?

Right before he does it he whispers “sorry about this. Try to curl up into a ball”. It helped show that the rest of the marines stationed here were still good people
