He wouldn't be able to cure him if he stayed, though. So, if Masamune stayed and took the same deal Zeo took, it'd be okay? Zeo can be mad all he wants, and I agree Masamune should have checked in, but it's not his fault Zeo is going through this. That was his decision.

2024-05-20 23:47:16 +0000 UTCTo be fair Zeo was right that Massumne leaving wasn't going to cure Tobi's sickness, Zeo even sacrificed himself to get Tobi the best medical treatment. I get that Masamune was trying to achieve Tobi's dream of being number one, but he didn't even stay in contact to see how Tobi was doing, he even says that after he beat Gingka he forgot to head back america. I think Zeo took more of an adult/ serious approach on helping Tobi, and he see's Masamune as a kid who abandoned them to get better at some game.

Masamune leaving to obtain a title that hadn't existed yet, not contacting his buddies to check up on the condition of his potentially dying friend, and not mentioning anything related to his past to Gingka and the gang until they got to America imo wasn't a smart move. I'll add on to ur comment. It's clear from the last two eps that Zeo and Masamune was supposed to achieve the #1 blader status together as a team not as individuals. So Zeo feeling like Masamune has forgotten about his og squad and the core reason of their promise to Toby makes sense. Like my guy is sacrificing his flesh everyday for the betterment of Toby's health. In all honesty, the #1 blader goal should've been put on the back shelf until Toby was in a healthier state. Imo Masamune has been an L friend to his og squad even though his intentions came from a good place. As they say, "it takes two to tango".

His best friend is potentially dying and his other best friend is unreachable and out of the three of them, Zeo is the weak and helpless one. Masamune for his good intentions, should've at least called back to check on two friends at least.

Damian was the one from US team who "lost" to Argo Garcia during finale of their Block. But it was most likely because Damian was holding back, or lost on purpose.
