The reason you never see Ryuga face the main villains is because he would win. And you cant have someone win before the main team/character. It would take away from it.

He soloed Team Desert Blaze and made them a joke in front of everyone, then did similar thing along with Sophie and Wales to Team GanGan Galaxy. So in the end his pride backfired at him. But Damian was a beast. He put Tsubasa back into hospital and Yu's bey back into fixing process
