You are right because then it would feel like an actual journey for him and he can see how Ash progresses over the years rather than seeing Ash really strong in XY but i just feel like he wouldn’t watch every season since it’s way too long , over 200 episodes in total and Pokemon is still airing and he has multiple shows already also so i just kinda thought i would suggest one of the best seasons of Pokemon yk ?

About Delta - I think his resonance is different. He is thinking he is in control, but Devolos is making him do what he wants, saying stuff, that encourages Delta to do so. They are in sync, but Delta rn doesn`t have the *voice* to tell Devolos like *No, I dont wanna fight him* or *We should do this...*
