2024-07-03 21:08:29 +0000 UTCBaxter Stockman is probably one of the best villains in the TMNT franchise, but he always gets looked down upon or mistreated by other characters and villains, it’s a prevalent aspect of many of his iterations, which often lead serious consequences. It should be noted though that in most other iterations, he’s a more respected scientist and/or company owner. I love how no matter the iteration, the design of Stockman’s Mousers (the little spider robot) have remained almost completely the same. I also like Splinter’s message of “Ninja due no harm, unless you mean to do harm, then do lots of harm”. It’s not worded the same as it usually is, but for example, the best depiction of this lesson comes from the IDW comics where Splinter teaches them that the turtles should never actively seek to harm or kill anyone, but if their lives are in danger, or they have no choice, they should not hesitate to do any sort of damage or harm necessary to their opponent, even if it means killing them. It’s a really good way to set the morality of the turtles, and honestly a pretty realistic set of morales.
