I'll comment here what I said in your other comments: A lot of people commenting to check out Rebels or Clone Wars and I'll say this... they are kinda right but watching the whole series would be too much (for what you need to know for The Mandalorian). So my recommendation is AFTER season 1 of Mando ends you should watch the Clone Wars movie, the season 1-6 Clone Wars summary on YouTube, and then Season 7 of Clone Wars series. As fpr Rebels, you just need a good summary of the series to help explain some key things. Both are absolutely well worth watching fully afterwards but the above plan will let you bridge season 1 of The Mandalorian to season 2 with much better background information!
