2022-01-07 05:23:52 +0000 UTCArmstrong successfully *undocked* from a spinning Atlas Agena booster/docking target. Once undocked, his Gemini craft started spinning even faster. The issue was later determined to be a stuck thruster on the Gemini and Armstrong regained control by using the much more powerful re-entry thrusters. Still a hell of a save by Armstrong and co-pilot Dave Scott, if they had stayed in the increasing spin much longer, they would have blacked out and likely died.
