2024-01-04 00:25:41 +0000 UTCMy point is that a lot of the lore and mythos associated with the Transformers franchise today wasn't really a part of the G1 cartoon. It's something that's evolved over time. Hell, as much as we like to rag on the Michael Bay series, those films gave us the ideas of the All-Spark and the 13 Primes.

2024-01-04 00:02:15 +0000 UTCFunny story. Originally in G1, Prime wasn't meant to be a title, it was just part of Optimus' name. But, after the movie introduced the Matrix of Leadership and Hotrod turned into Rodimus Prime, it took on a new meaning. So in season 3, which takes place after the movie, I believe they made either a flashback or a time travel episode that explained his origin as Orion Pax.
