He was saying to himself how odd that even though he has spent decades training in the sword that when he did awaken it was to be a fire magic user instead of a physical type fighter. Some of the content was filler, but I think it was a good idea on A-1's part to add it in since it gave out info to help people that haven't read the Manhua or LN understand more of the overall story. Great reaction as usual
