For his name meaning castle, he wasn't very sturdy when it came to Ubel, eh? ;) I figured it was the height of her magic and it manifested as an overwhelming force that blew her back. Sort of how Spiritual Pressure can overwhelm weaker opponents in Bleach.

2024-03-11 01:51:10 +0000 UTCBurg - Castle Fans theorize that "the pinnacle of magic" Frierens Clone used is something akin to her having such great control over mana that it manifests as a natural phenomenon, as if Frierens will is enforced on reality and could explain why Fern can not perceive it as an spell or even any Mana from it. Another possibility is some type of Magic she copied from a Demon that is highly advanced since Sein mentioned anything they cant understand is classified as a Curse and cant be perceived by Mages as an Spell.
