I never understood how in the intro spike was there and not chompy like what was the point 🤔🤔 I always thought as a kid they planned on turning slash back but never did.

But it didn’t do well so S5 was the last even though some consider it a fill in the blanks of previous seasons and not all of it is canon some stuff is

In the toy line and the Archie comics they depicted as superheroes and allies of the Turtles. In fact, they were founding members of the original Mighty Mutanimals, along with Jagwar, Dredmon, Mondo Gecko, Ray Fillet and Leatherhead. Although, like Leatherhead, they were depicted as villains in the 87 cartoon. I believe this episode was made to poke fun as thie blatant inconsistency.
