Great reaction to a power film, Dasha. To answer some questions, there were in fact many cuts in the film, though it was cleverly edited to look like it was done in one take. The tetanus toxoid vaccine wasn't invented until 1924, so yeah, the guy's hand might have been in trouble. As for the corpses' tongues swelling, that's something that happens when gut bacteria keeps eating and producing gases, making the body bloat. Stuff gets pushed out by the pressure. To quote Forrest Gump, "That's all I have to say about that."
