I think it's worth pointing out that whatever Jayne's flaws (and he has many of them), the man somehow managed to flawlessly shoot the breaker (and then the window) of that net. He pulled that off despite both he and the gun being in a space-suit (so without using the gun sights), while they were moving, and while they were under the threat of a likely death. Hell of a shot!
