I'm sure you know by now you NEVER freaking find out about Book! There's a comic called "The Shepherd's Tale" but it sucks and gives him an incredibly boring backstory. My headcannon is that he was a crime boss who almost died but was miraculously saved so he walked away from it all, got a new identity, and became a shepherd.

Not to mention this episode introduced of the famous Jayne hat, which you'll be pleased to know can be purchased on Etsy, Amazon, and other fine online retailers. I'm sure you'll want one for the Canadian winter, eh?

This show was done dirty. Very special place in hell for executives that cancel great shows.
